COMMENT: I'll bet that if your personal philosophies can usually be described as conservative then you have been unhappy about the trend toward liberalism in our country.  So have I.  But, yesterday's defeat of the atrocious immigration bill points the way to changing that trend.  It points out that in a republic the citizenry has to make themselves heard by their representatives else they are likely to find their government heading of in directions they find undesirable.  If you were one of the people that made your voice heard by our Senators then I urge you to continue to do so on other issues in the future.  If you were not one of those who made your wishes known then please take note that it IS possible to make ourselves heard and to do so in the future.  If you want us to live in a strong nation that serves well its citizens then we must continue to make ourselves heard.
