"For who are a free people? Not those, over whom government is reasonable and equitably exercised, but those, who live under a government so constitutionally checked and controlled, that proper provision is made against its being otherwise exercised." -- John Dickinson (1732-1794), Political Writings, 1767-1768
(For more insights by Dickinson see: http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig5/galles5.html)
"Joe, the Plumber," a private citizen, asks a tough question of a politician (Obama), who walked up to Joe's house unannounced, and because they didn't like the question the politicians investigate Joe's private life.
Barbara West, a reporter for WFTV, in Florida, asks Joe Biden some tough questions on live TV (see the interview here: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxT0ELP7az0) and because the Obama/Biden campaign didn't like the questions they cancelled a later interview between WFTV and Jill Biden. Then, Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign sent the TV station the following letter, "This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election.” See more about this at: http://jonathanturley.org/2008/10/26/blacklist-obama-campaign-punishes-station-for-tough-questions-of-biden/
BTW, Biden never did answer some of the questions and specifically avoided answering the question about Obama;s Marxist beliefs.

So there you have it. If you are a private citizen and ask a Democrat politician a tough question the Dems don't like they will investigate your private life. If you are a member of the media and ask a Democrat politician a question they don't like they will black-list your station and cut you off from future interviews.
The message from the Dems is loud and clear. Ask only those questions which they have approved in advance or face the consequences.
Folks, any way you cut it that's censorship, and it falls right in line with the liberals promise to bring back the Fairness Doctrine if elected. All this point toward heavy handed government censorship..... toward all the media having to get the approval of government before something is broadcast or printed.
Is "Big Brother" on our doorstep? (read George Orwell's "1984" if you don't know what this refers to).
Are you unhappy with the way many things are going in the USA? If you are then let your elected representatives hear from you. Our nation is a "representative republic." In other words a nation where our legislators are supposed to represent your wishes, but, if you don't let them hear from you how are they supposed to know what things concern you? Generally liberals are more group oriented than are conservatives, and tend to be more activist in nature. That's why things in our country have been becoming more and more liberal in nature, even though conservatives outnumber the liberals. Remember, our nation only works as our founders designed it to work if the citizens participate in its operation.
