"If the system be established on basis of Income, and his just proportion on that scale has been already drawn from every one, to step into the field of Consumption, and tax special articles in that, as broadcloth or homespun, wine or whiskey, a coach or a wagon, is doubly taxing the same article. For that portion of Income with which these articles are purchased, having already paid its tax as Income, to pay another tax on the thing it purchased, is paying twice for the same thing; it is an aggrievance on the citizens who use these articles in exoneration of those who do not, contrary to the most sacred of the duties of a government, to do equal and impartial justice to all its citizens. " Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826), letter to Joseph Milligan, April 6, 1816

Military ballots not counted..... again:

Obama has not been elected yet.  The electors don't vote until Dec 15th:

Here it comes:

A checklist of Obama's promises.  Save a copy so you can refer to it four years from now:

Let's hope the numbers in the "present value of unfunded liabilities" table aren't accurate.  Forget about the mortgage and financial company bailouts.  That's nothing compared to already existing unfunded liabilities.  The government has already committed every man, woman, child and baby to $400,000 in promised, but unfunded, liabilities.  Just one more example of the long term effects of the liberal "nanny state:"

Sometimes the Liberals give themselves away:

Leftists defile Michigan church:

There is only one words for the Obama people who are pushing to give Guantanamo detainees Constitutional rights in the US courts.  FOOLS!  Doing that would give defendants the "right of discovery" which could expose military and security secrets:

Obama's election and the intent of the Founding Fathers:

IMPORTANT - Democrat voting shenanigans in Minnesota could give Dems veto proof majority in Congress should Al Franken win:

Warning of new Bin Laden attack on the US:

A ticked-off conservative:

Rocket balls - whoa:

Obama organization has been in contact with the terrorist organization Hamas for quite some time:

Ignoring the law:

Constitutional Dead Letters:

The US has a huge amount of untapped oil reserves, but the Dems still say, "no drilling:"

How is global warming affecting the US?:

Liberal intolerance:

Pepsico gives $500,000 to help promote gay agenda, but nothing to support traditional marriage:

Auto makers biggest expense is related to unions and union benefits.  Bankruptcy would relieve the car companies of that burden.  That's why Dems are for an auto maker's bailout.  It would continue the unions benefits:

Some auto industry statistics from the Fed; dry but interesting:

The fallacy of bailouts - the numbers DO NOT add up:

Catholics quit their funding of ACORN:

Dems thinking of investigating Bush after Obama takes office?  This smells a lot like intimidation and revenge:

Good news?  Maybe!:

So far Obama's promise of "change" is nothing more than more of the same:

Media Matters is a decidedly leftist web site promoting agendas from the socialist point of view.  What is their opinion of conservative talk radio?  See for yourself:

"Every day, more than 100 million Americans are exposed to some of the most vitriolic hate speech you can find in the public arena. According to a 2007 analysis by the Center for American Progress and the Free Press, right-wing radio dominates the airwaves. Their "analysis of all of the news/talk stations in the top 10 radio markets" found that "76 percent of the programming in these markets is conservative and 24 percent is progressive, although programming is more balanced in markets such as New York and Chicago." Despite all the talk of a supposed "liberal bias" in the media, the reality is that conservatives rule talk radio.

"Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck may be some of the best-known hosts, but such nationally recognized names are just the tip of the iceberg. Each of these conservative firebrands started out as local radio hosts, sparking controversy and pushing right-wing talking points to local listeners. Just like them, the next generation of conservative talkers spends hours each day delivering conservative misinformation and launching offensive tirades against anyone who disagrees with them. These right-wing voices may be spread throughout the country, but together they form a conservative echo chamber that repeats conservative myths and falsehoods to millions of people."

What is Media Matters plan if the Dems get the return of the Fairness Doctrine?  They are already lining up people to push the liberal line.  Here's a copy of what they are saying to their readers:

"To successfully combat conservative misinformation, we must fight it at every level. As part of a new campaign to expose the conservative smears being pushed by local radio hosts and stop them from spreading, Media Matters for America has released a new report on some of the most controversial hosts and their less-than-sparkling repertoire. You can join the fight by signing on to our Radio Action Team. As a member, you will receive information on local radio hosts, updates on their latest commentary, and the opportunity to make your voice heard. Join the team.

I look forward to working with you on this important project.

Why liberals never seem to hear conservative viewpoints:

Are you unhappy with the way many things are going in the USA?  If you are then let your elected representatives hear from you.  Our nation is a "representative republic."  In other words a nation where our legislators are supposed to represent your wishes, but, if you don't let them hear from you how are they supposed to know what things concern you?  Generally liberals are more group oriented than are conservatives, and tend to be more activist in nature.  That's why things in our country have been becoming more and more liberal in nature, even though conservatives outnumber the liberals.  Remember, our nation only works as our founders designed it to work if the citizens participate in its operation.
