To upset you!  To anger you!

To show you enough of the abuses of liberalism that you will get involved.

To encourage you to contact your elected representatives and object.

I believe with you that the first of qualities for a great statesman is to be honest. And if it were possible that this opinion were an error, I should rather carry it with me to my grave, than to believe that a man cannot be a statesman without being dishonest. I have, and must have, confidence in the possible virtue of human nature; and although in entertaining this idea, a man must, and will sometimes, be disappointed, yet if it is coupled with a sound judgment and close observation, I believe he could make fewer great mistakes, than one whose principle is the universal rascality of the species.--  John Adams (1735-1826); Letter to William Eustis; June 22, 1809

(Is there such a thing as an honest politician these days?  If there isn't it is our own fault.)

The people must also be self-assertive. They must have the spirit of the old Revolutionary War flag: "Don't tread on me!" They must be vigilant against those, at home or abroad, in or out of government, who might wish to trample on their rights. They must be courageous and manly, with a sense of honor, so that in hard times they will stand up and fight, and not slink away slavishly so as to avoid trouble and danger.

Thomas G. West and Douglas A. Jeffrey, The Rise & Decline of Constitutional Government in America

COMMENTARY:  THE TEA PARTIES..... were truly grassroots events.  They were organized, and paid for out of their own pockets in almost all cases by people who had never even attended a rally before - house wives, college students, truck drivers, liberals, conservatives, Republicans, Democrats, Independents, whites, blacks, latinos.  There was no hint of corporate or political party sponsorship anywhere.  Now the Liberal media and blogosphere is going absolutely berserk in commenting on them.  They are misrepresenting their purpose and they are demonstrating a complete lack of understanding of why they were organized and attended.  Further, they are demonstrating that it is not the conservative world that is the home of hatred and vitriol, it is the Liberal world where they reside.  Not only are those despicable characteristics being demonstrated by the Liberals it is they who actually promoting those vile activities.  As they say, the proof is in the pudding, so follow the links and see for yourself:

"The people who attended the Tea Parties are a bunch of wimpy, whining, weasels." - Paul Begala

Media continues to downplau Tea Parties:

If Pelosi really believes what she is saying here then doesn't that mean she has absolutely no understanding of what the Tea Parties were all about?:

Democrats don't like Texas Governor Rick Perry's talking about secession:

If we are going to send our military into harms way shouldn't we provide them with absolutely the best weaponry and defense systems?  Instead the Obama Administration slashes the military budget and procurement programs and gives millions to ACORN:

Are you unhappy with the way many things are going in the USA?  If you are then let your elected representatives hear from you.  Our nation is a "representative republic."  In other words a nation where our legislators are supposed to represent your wishes, but, if you don't let them hear from you how are they supposed to know what things concern you?  Generally liberals are more group oriented than are conservatives, and tend to be more activist in nature. That's why things in our country have been becoming more and more liberal in nature, even though conservatives outnumber the liberals.  Remember, our nation only works as our founders designed it to work if the citizens participate in its operation.
