PURPOSE:

To upset you!  To anger you!

To show you enough of the abuses of liberalism that you will get involved.

To encourage you to contact your elected representatives and object.

NOTHING WILL CHANGE UNTIL YOU DO!!!

"Experience constantly teaches that new members of a public body do not feel the necessary respect or responsibility for the acts of their predecessors, and that a change of members and of circumstances often proves fatal to consistency and stability of public measures." --  James Madison (1751-1836); Notes on Debates, 1783

(Boy, that sure describes our current administration, doesn't it?)

"Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people; and not for profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, the people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government; and to reform, alter, or totally change the same, when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it." -- John Adams (1735-1826), Thoughts on Government, 1776

(a commentary noting that in the USA all power resides, not with the states, not with the federal government, but with the people, and it is the people who have the authority and the responsibility to use that power when the politicians begin to think that the office they hold is the rightful repository of that power.  The recent TEA Parties are a great example of this concept in action and we will hopefully see thousands more of them in the future.)

"By gnawing through a dike, even a rat may drown a nation."  - Edmond Burke

The people must also be self-assertive. They must have the spirit of the old Revolutionary War flag: "Don't tread on me!" They must be vigilant against those, at home or abroad, in or out of government, who might wish to trample on their rights. They must be courageous and manly, with a sense of honor, so that in hard times they will stand up and fight, and not slink away slavishly so as to avoid trouble and danger.

Thomas G. West and Douglas A. Jeffrey, The Rise & Decline of Constitutional Government in America

PLAN NOW TO ATTEND A 4th OF JULY TEA PARTY IN YOUR COMMUNITY.  IF THERE ISN'T ONE ALREADY PLANNED ORGANIZE ONE YOURSELF.  GET AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE TO ATTEND.

DON'T ALLOW POLITICIANS TO PARTICIPATE (they will want to, and they will try to).  TEA PARTIES ARE ABOUT "US" SPEAKING TO "THEM," NOT ABOUT "THEM" SPEAKING TO "US."

"Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity." - Saul Alinsky - Rules For Radicals

Folks this is an admonition that can cut both ways.  It is time for us to insist that liberals live up to their own insane promises so that people will see them for what they are.

COMMENTARY:

DEMOCRATS - The Party of division.... the party of inequality.
G. T. Baker

(permission granted for unrestricted distribution provided credit is given to Links and Toons)

Nancy Pelosi has not only called for the Republicans to move their party more toward the left, she has called her own party,  "The party of protecting the environment, the party of individual rights, the party of fairness."

Well, there may be a particle of truth there with respect to the environment, but, the other two claims are just outright, bald-faced lies.

The Democrats are the party that goes out of their way to do things for groups such as minorities, women, poor, handicapped, illegal aliens, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.  We all know that.  There is no argument there.  In order to gain political favor the Democrats have become the party of favors for one group or another, but rarely ever as the party that does things that benefit all Americans.... rarely as the party that does things for individuals.  The thing that the media never points out is that in doing things for groups the Democrats have become the party of dividing Americans, the party of division,  the party of excluding anyone not in the particular group(s) they wish to benefit or favor, and they do it, not for making things better for all Americans, but for the salacious purpose (http://thesaurus.reference.com/browse/salacious) of gaining political power for themselves at the expense of those Americans not in the groups they designate for benefits or favoritism.  By the same token the Democrats also fail to meet the test of truthfulness when they claim to be the party of fairness and equality.  THEY ARE NOT!!!!

Isn't it odd that the very people who would never propose that at the end of the NFL Super Bowl the scores be adjusted to provide an equal outcome have no problem at all, at the drop of a hat, proposing that very same kind of adjustment when it comes to society. The very essence of what makes the Super Bowl a great activity is that great pains are taken to insure everyone has an equal opportunity to get there. Insuring an equal outcome regardless of the amount of effort and expertise expended would completely destroy the NFL. The same is true of society. Caring for each other and helping each other should be left to us as individual citizens and to our non-governmental organizations. Our government should take great pains to insure equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome. To do otherwise is to use the implied force of government to impose a change in outcomes and when government does that it is being done, shamefully, not for altruistic motives but purely for political gain.

At the Federal level there is only one requirement to be met if the objective is to be the political party of fairness, of equality, of individual rights.  That is to enact only legislation that will equally impact and effect ALL Americans as individuals  That is precisely why our Founding Fathers wrote our Constitution as they did, and why they placed so much emphasis on "individual rights" and "natural rights" (http://www.constitution.org/bcp/right_col.htm).

Are you unhappy with the way many things are going in the USA?  If you are then let your elected representatives hear from you.  Our nation is a "representative republic."  In other words a nation where our legislators are supposed to represent your wishes, but, if you don't let them hear from you how are they supposed to know what things concern you?  Generally liberals are more group oriented than are conservatives, and tend to be more activist in nature. That's why things in our country have been becoming more and more liberal in nature, even though conservatives outnumber the liberals.  Remember, our nation only works as our founders designed it to work if the citizens participate in its operation.
