To upset you!  To anger you!
To show you enough of the abuses of liberalism that you will get involved.
To encourage you to contact your elected representatives and object.

"A liberal politician is one who gives away money, property, and rights.... but never his own or those of his friends." ~ G T Baker

The people must also be self-assertive. They must have the spirit of the old Revolutionary War flag: "Don't tread on me!" They must be vigilant against those, at home or abroad, in or out of government, who might wish to trample on their rights. They must be courageous and manly, with a sense of honor, so that in hard times they will stand up and fight, and not slink away slavishly so as to avoid trouble and danger.

Thomas G. West and Douglas A. Jeffrey, The Rise & Decline of Constitutional Government in America

The most important moral of all is that excellence is where you find it. I would extend this generalization to cover not just higher education but all education from vocational high school to graduate school. We must learn to honor excellence, indeed to demand it in every socially accepted human activity, however humble that activity, and to scorn shoddiness, however exalted the activity. An excellent plumber is infinitely more admirable than an incompetent philosopher. The society which scorns excellence in plumbing because plumbing is a humble activity and tolerates shoddiness in philosophy because philosophy is an exalted activity will have neither good plumbing nor good philosophy. Neither its pipes nor its theories will hold water. --- John William Gardner (1912 - )

We currently have in Washington a group of politicians who apparently believe they can do whatever they wish without consequence.  The liberal Democrat majority feels free to completely ignore the US Constitution and the wishes of the voters.  Unfortunately the politicians on the other side of the aisle have also been ignoring the Constitution and the wishes of the public and have been playing the "me too" game.

Many average Americans have been wondering what could be done to make the politicians pay more attention to what the public wants them to do, or not do.

At this point I asked myself the following question, "what could the voters do that would make more of an impression of the politicians than anything else?"

ANSWER:  vote them out!  Actually, the very strongest message would be to vote them ALL out, even the ones that are not liberal.  Nothing would send a stronger message than that.

So, here's the proposal (and I have never before suggested or requested my readers forward a message or email to their friends).  In the next election or two DON'T RE-ELECT ANYBODY..... throw them all out.  The political community must be made to understand that they work for us..... not the other way around..... and they ignore that dictum at the peril of their political lives.

There's a story about a guy who bought a mule. He couldn't get the mule to move. His friend says, "You've just got to whisper 'Move' in his ear and he'll move." So the first guy whispers into the mule's ear. Nothing. He says louder, "Move!" Nothing. Eventually the friend says, "Here, I'll show you." He takes a two-by-four and whacks the mule right between the eyes. Then he whispers, "Move" into the mule's ear, and the mule moves. The first guy is shocked by the violence. "What was that about?" "Well," says the friend, "first you have to get his attention."

So, folks, it's time to get the attantion of the political community, and just like that old mule we have to get their attention.  We've got to hit them right between the eyes.  Even if it means throwing out some politicians that we like we MUST throw them all out.  Start talking it up.  SEND CONGRESS A MESSAGE.  DON'T RE-ELECT ANYBODY.

Are you unhappy with the way many things are going in the USA?  If you are then let your elected representatives hear from you.  Our nation is a "representative republic."  In other words a nation where our legislators are supposed to represent your wishes, but, if you don't let them hear from you how are they supposed to know what things concern you?  Generally liberals are more group oriented than are conservatives, and tend to be more activist in nature. That's why things in our country have been becoming more and more liberal in nature, even though conservatives outnumber the liberals.  Remember, our nation only works as our founders designed it to work if the citizens participate in its operation.
